Unsatisfied (Lust Part 2)
By Dawn Kirby
He opened the door. Suddenly he was sitting in his own bedroom. It was dark and the house was quiet. He could just make out the silhouette of his wife’s body lying on the opposite side of the bed.
Had he been dreaming? He looked down at himself to find he was wearing the suit he’d worn to work. One shoe was on, the other had been tossed a few feet away.
“Some dream,” he whispered as he kicked the other shoe off. With any luck he’d see it play out in life.
He got up and stepped toward the bed, forgetting about the woman he’d just been with in his dream. Something grabbed his arm. He jerked it, trying to break its hold to no avail. Turning to look behind him, he saw a woman. A gorgeous woman with long black hair and haunting green eyes. She raised her finger to her lips. He nodded and moved toward her. She shook her head and gestured his attention back to the bed.
Grudgingly he did as she said. Maybe Lynn had finally decided to try that threesome and fell asleep waiting for him. Why else would there be another woman in his bedroom? For a few minutes nothing happened. Then he heard the front door open. Alarmed, he braced for an intruder. The woman behind him laughed.
“Relax,” she whispered. “There are no thieves here.”
John anxiously waited, not sure if he should believe her or not. The safety of his home, possessions and family was at risk should she be wrong.
When the door to their bedroom opened, he clenched his fists ready to take out whoever stepped over the threshold. The woman behind him laughed again.
Irritated he turned to look at her, missing the familiar face of the man who’d just walked in.
“Who the hell are you?” he asked, forgetting his sleeping wife.
She stepped closer to him and smiled. Her arms slipped around his neck. “Love, I’m your worst nightmare come to life.”
His lips toyed with hers. “If this is what a nightmare looks like, I need more in my life.”
“We’ll see.” She pulled away and turned him toward the bed.
The man who’d walked in minutes earlier had already shed his clothes down to his underwear and crawled in the bed beside Lynn. John felt the anger swell up into his throat. He forced his eyes to focus on the man’s face. Once they did, his anger boiled over into killing mode.
“The fuck is Shane doing here?”
“Love, he’s been here.” She put her finger over her lips when he turned to her. “Quiet now or you’ll miss it.”
He turned back to the bed expecting to see the two of them screwing. Instead, Shane had wrapped his arms around her and pulled her body into his.
“What a waste,” he grumbled.
“Why?” the woman beside him asked. “Looks to me like they’re both where they want to be. Comfortable with each other. Loving with or without the act.” She leaned down and whispered, “In him, she’s got the real deal. What does she have with you?” He snapped his head to the side to face her. “A horny bastard who can’t see past his own fucked up fantasies.” Satisfied with the angry look on his face, she stood up. “Don’t worry, love. There’s plenty of whores out there you can play them out with.”
“Whatever,” he said, turning his attention back to the bed.
“When do you think we should tell him?” Shane whispered.
“Too late,” he grumbled.
“The sooner the better, I suppose,” Lynn answered. “The boys deserve it.”
“Woman, knowing what I know now, the boys are mine.” John told her. Not that she heard him.
“They’ll be fine,” Shane told her as he stroked her hair. “I’m sure he’ll demand a test.”
“Good thing it’s taken care of,” she said. “I want this to be as quick and painless for them as possible.”
John turned to the woman beside him. “Test for what?”
She merely smiled.
“Is there any possibility?” Shane asked, his voice suddenly dead serious.
“None.” Lynn answered.
“You’re sure? All of them?”
“All yours, Shane. All of them.”
The realization hit. John shook his head, trying to shake off her words. They couldn’t be. He’d been there for the birth. They looked like him. His eyes. His hair color. They were his boys.
“This is going to cause problems,” Lynn whispered to Shane. “Your mom may be okay, but everybody else-”
“Everybody else already knows,” Shane said, hugging her tighter to him. “So does Mom. She said they’ve known for years.”
John closed his eyes trying to keep his anger in check. His wife and his brother. Years? How could he have not seen it? His fists balled up. He shot up and out of the chair. When his eyes opened again he was back in the hotel room with the woman he’d been having sex with earlier.
Only now he was tied to the bed and she had a gun.
“What the hell is this?!” he yelled.
“A little fun,” she said coyly. She climbed onto the bed and straddled him. Even when a gun was pointed at his head, he couldn’t help himself. She slid down on him and started to move her hips. “It’s sad you can’t see what’s coming.”
“I need to see it. I can feel it.” He rolled his hips, meeting her thrusts. “Keep that up and it won’t be long.”
“No, it won’t be. They’ll find you here. They’ll never solve it. They won’t really care. Your wife and boys will have wonderful lives with a man you grew up with. Tell me how does that feel?”
“I don’t know about all that, but baby, you feel fantastic.”
“Wrong answer,” she said.
His world went dark.
